Whales galore

A big thank you to Kathryn at the Tax Trailer for pointing out the fact that Humpback whales were not to be missed while in Hawaii. I may have missed some spectacular views otherwise. So, with cameras ready, I and the other wedding guests, jumped aboard a ship to see the whale activity just outside of Honolulu. Simply breathtaking behemoths. They are very difficult to photograph because they breach the water’s surface without warning and begin to descend by the time you lift your camera and snap the shutter. But with a little luck, I was able to capture a few stills. I would step aboard one more whale tour on the Big Island, but the Humpbacks were less active.

This was the last day in Oahu. Karel and I said our goodbyes to the wedding guests and then flew to the Big Island for more adventures.
